Impermanent spirit,

hears sounds as echoes,

sees forms as shadows,

where motions become traces,

and thoughts mere dreams.

Accomplished minds dying to mud,

from mud to manure,

to root and stem,

from the blooming flower above,

issues a lush fragrance.

Life plays in the neighborhood,

and at day’s end,

mother calls life back home,

life heeds her call,

because dinner’s ready.
