Our humanity, stricken down for our daily bread,
a bulleted list of best behaviors, on an HR slide deck.
Our differences come from back there, the past,
seen before us now, as diversity.
Like a vase with many facets,
each displaying the same light within.
Celebrate diversity, however ironical,
and take it to the next level—recognize our sameness,
the sameness of the empty moment.
Emptiness is sameness,
And sameness is nothingness,
no concepts,
no names,
no definitions,
no gender,
no thought,
no emotion,
no identity,
no data,
no class,
no category,
no nation,
no religion,
no family,
no memories,
no learning,
no words,
no symbols,
no matter,
no sight,
no sound,
no big deal,
this is love.
For love is sameness,
emanating from one light within us,
and love need not ask.
